Micro Teaching Class 1

Our first Micro Teaching Class was conducted on 5th April, 2024. The morning session was micro teaching session for us - students of social science. We were in the Maths class and our classmates of the English department were our students. It was our first experience teaching with a lesson plan and using instructional aids. Our classes were recorded. We had to teach as per our chosen micro teaching skills. My skill for the day was 'Skill of Fluency in Questioning'. I taught a topic from Class IX SCERT Social Science textbook, 'Indian Constitution'. I used pictures as my instructional aid for the class. My class was observed and assessed by our Social Science Professor, Preethi Ma'am and two of our peers. Teacher gave us feedback on our strengths and weaknesses and also suggested measures to improve them. In the afternoon session I went to the English class to sit as their student. It was a remarkable experience. It gave us the idea of how to teach and what all things must be taken into account while teaching.
