Philosophy Capacity Building Workshop on Leadership

A Capacity Building Workshop was organised on 29th February, 2024 on the topic 'Leadership'. The resource person for the session was Sri. Johns K. Lukose Sir, Director of Life Skills BVET Centre, Chathannoor.

The introduction session in the morning was about leaders. Sir casually asked us about the different schools of philosophy and the philosophers and leaders who inspired us. We mentioned about Rabindranath Tagore and his contributions Shantiniketan and Vishwa Bharati. He talked about the need to learn from leaders who have failed too. So he talked about the BYJU'S story.

Later we were taken to the general seminar hall and asked to form into 7 groups. Each group had to choose a leader and a motto for the group. Ours was Group 3 and I was the leader. Our motto was "Be Unique, Be You". We also had to make a logo for the group. In the afternoon session, we were asked to make flags representing our logo and motto. The idea of leadership was inculcated through a variety of activities like writing without touching the pen, name of shops, clicking photo of ant, game of rock, paper, scissors, etc. My team members were Ajnu, Amritha S., Devika, Anitta, Muhsina, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Sreelakshmi.

At the end of the session we had to present our flags, our motto and the entire process. All the teams were judged by Harsha Ma'am and Dinesh Sir. The best team was the one led by Nisha, winning the first prize. Their motto was "MAD: Make a Difference". There was also a reflection session. The entire session was fun and engaging.
